Urgent Home Repair for a ChickenSoup Family

Our first campaign on Little Flags was a huge success! We are beyond grateful for all of the support we have received for this fundraising initiative. Thank you to each and everyone of you who have donated to provide urgent home repair support for our beneficiary Zhen and her family.

Zhen, a single mom of 3 children, lives in a tiny worn-out rooftop flat at To Kwa Wan. Heavy wind and rain brought by the tropical cyclones Lion Rock and Kompasu have ripped off part of the ceiling of Zhen’s home and caused severe leaks. The water leaks have also damaged many electronics in the house including the fridge.

A full-time homemaker, Zhen needs to look after 3 children and her youngest son has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). When her husband, the sole breadwinner of the household, passed away due to cancer, Zhen and her family were on the verge of collapse.

But since then, life-changing transformation was created together as family. Zhen is now a family ambassador of ChickenSoup who volunteers to support other families in crisis. Learn more about the inspiring story of Zhen and her family!
