A former investment banker, our founder Edward established ChickenSoup Foundation in 2013 in the hope of empowering and transforming the lives of crisis families in Sham Shui Po.

“We are like an investment bank. We combine different but appropriate resources to achieve the optimum result at the lowest cost,” said our founder Ed in an interview with Ming Pao. “By bringing the wisdom from Central to Sham Shui Po, we can ensure that our work in poverty alleviation is in place and sustainable,”

The name “ChickenSoup” implies that as an organization we strive to look after the body, mind and soul of our future generation. In addition to providing relief solutions like food relief, we also offer opportunities for children to pursue their interests and build life skills as part of the empowerment solutions.
