Kanice once conformed to the family expectation of pursing her career in the commercial field. Realising her passion in bringing hope and changes to people in need, Kanice decided to follow her own calling by making a bold career move into the NGO sector.
In 2014, Kanice joined World Vision China in the rural area of Yunnan Province. In a three year assignment, she managed a team of 12 staff to execute a community development program benefiting around 2,000 children and their families. The program included toilet installation, hygiene education, and community development.
With her diverse and impactful work experiences, Kanice is now on a mission at ChickenSoup to unveil families in Hong Kong who are living in multiple crises, and to deliver tailored solutions to crisis families so they can live without fear but hope.
Kanice graduated with a Master degree in Social Work in Hong Kong and a Bachelor degree in Communications (Journalism) in Australia. After graduation, she worked at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Hong Kong Design Centre, and Messe Frankfurt.
In her leisure time, Kanice enjoys handcrafting, including lace tatting, crochet, paper quilling and anything you can name.
