FIC#006: Story of Cherry and Her Family
“During the last ten years where my daughter has been ill, she is under lots of stress academically, and has even become more emotional; on top of that my son has ADHD and can get agitated easily, so we often come into conflict with him, which makes me feel so emotionally suffocated sometimes. I’m really grateful for CSF’s support and also thankful that the staff have shared their personal hypnotherapy experience – hypnotherapy has really helped reduce stress for both my daughter and me. Now we took the first step to try to change and relax, and I’ve also learned to love myself.”
“COVID affects my husband’s income. During this difficult period of time, your help reduces our financial burden and stress. Through your guidance, the mood of my children has been soothed and they have made some academic progress.”
In a recent interview with The Hong Kong Economic Times, Mrs Tsoi shared her heart-touching parenting journey raising two children with disabilities – her daughter’s words during the interview even moved the reporter to tears.
Fencing queen Vivian Kong, who is also a ChickenSoup ambassador, visited Cherry and her family during a recent home visit to hand-deliver a “SOUL Box” full of handpicked wellness products and mindfulness goodies. Read on to find out what special gift Cherry has prepared for Vivian!
It takes an immense amount of courage for our families to share their personal journeys, given that they have been through extreme and sometimes traumatic hardships. Tsoi told the South China Morning Post how she found the strength to soldier on despite challenges on child illness and coronavirus misery.
